This is my current (as of July, 2022) demo reel.
It showcases work from my time freelancing in SoCal and my tenure with Headspace. Most recently I’ve focused on motion graphics for tech startups, including animation for marketing campaigns, UI/UX, character work, as well as video editing and compositing.

To reflect on my time with Headspace, I edited a reel highlighting my favorite animation projects built while helping to develop their brand identity. I spent five wonderful years there, and wanted to honor those memories with the same joy and delight Headspace is known for.
I’ve showcased some of my top-performing UA animations, notable partnerships, live-action work, and UI/UX work integral to the brand’s in-app experience.
Over the last few years I’ve explored the possibilities offered by the Lottie animation format. In a nutshell, the AirBnB-developed, JSON-based animation file format allows for ultra-low filesize, silky smooth animations for use in-app and on the web.
You can check out my rundown on how I’ve used the Lottie format to bring life to the Headspace in-app experience here. I’ve animated their suite of ambient motion backgrounds, shuttle controls, notifications, and helped to prototype several experimental features.
Right now I’m working with a handful of clients on UI elements and various moments of delight within this amazing, low-footprint format.
From 2022 - 2023 I worked with Dave to inject their app and mascot with animation.
I brought the Dave Bear to life with a joystick rig, imbuing his movements with nuanced motion and liveliness. From here, I worked with Dave’s engineers and designers to place the Dave Bear in the app, adding moments of delight to build a comfortable, friendly atmosphere for users.
Additionally, I worked extensively with Dave’s engineers and UX/UI designers to help prototype user flows and compare implementation methods on various features.
In the spring of 2022, I worked as a GFX/Animation Lead for a project with LooseWorld.
I collaborated with creative director Jesse Goldman to create a graphics package, including dynamic graphics elements (.mogrts), to impart the pilot with a “CSI-meets-microfiche” feel.
For Headspace’s “Find Some Headspace” series of spots, I worked with a small team of designers and animators to unify the Headspace look and feel with live action footage.
This presented a number of challenges: how do we bring the expressiveness of the Headspace brand into the real world? What technical hurdles do we need to clear to sell the look? How can we integrate the friendly, illustrative style with live-action footage?
For this project, I lead the process of compositing—motion tracking, masking, and laying in animations built in After Effects. I’ve showcased a couple of my shots here.
Headspace Breathers is a 7-part children’s series we created to help educate children on applying mindfulness in a variety of contexts and situations.
I lead animation and graphics on this series, advising on host green screen videography, developing the unique animation style with Headspace designer/illustrator Karen Hong, establishing and applying workflows for color grading and compositing, animating the majority of the segments, working closely with the Headspace audio team, and preparing all episodes for final delivery.
Headspace Breathers was honored as a finalist at the 14th annual Shorty Awards.
This was a fun one.
I collaborated with lead designer/business owner Nate Khouli to create a lookbook for the 2018 Damascus clothing line. Over a blistering four days of production, I shot, edited, graded, applied graphics to, and delivered this video, handling every step of the process.
I used an A7Sii camera with a gimbal to capture footage.
